Boogie Down Productions' Edutainment Album Anniversary

Edutainment is the fourth album from Boogie Down Productions. It was released on July 17, 1990, and is an album whose lyrics embody afrocentricity and socio-political knowledge. It has 6 skits/interludes, many of which feature Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael) a leader of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and Black Power Movement. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on October 10, 1990. KRS One has stated in interviews that the album has sold over 700,000 copies. Read more about Boogie Down Productions here.
