Ice Cube's Album Anniversary

Rapper, actor and producer Ice Cube released his third studio album on November 17th, 1988. Around this time, Ice Cube also continued to get involved in music, with much of his interest focused on the still emerging world of rap. He started writing his first raps in high school, and in the mid-1980s started a group with two others called CIA. The Predator reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart, some of the singles including “It Was A Good Day,” “Check Yo Self,” and “Wicked.” It was so popular that it sold 193,000 copies in it’s first week.
