Emerging hip hop artists LIL CHRIS and ROOGA have collaborated on a new single, "CATCH A BODY". The song was written by Christopher Ward (LIL CHRIS) and Denzel Charles (ROOGA) and produced by JuvyCatcher and 22Cartel. "The inspiration behind Catch a body is what sadly is a reality to where I am from. The term is used loosely when its referred to a homicide in the city of Chicago. I was really thinking of my partner, Fbg Duck (may he rest in peace), when I went into the booth and I had to get his cousin, Rooga, one of the hottest in the game on the track to help me bring this picture to light," mentions Lil Chris. "Catch A Body is a symbol of advice for everyone to see and hear what we go through in Chicago and perhaps make it a learning lesson to avoid going down that path where it can lead," adds Rooga.

ROOGA ARTIST BIO:

Denzel Charles, born on October 15, 1993 on Chicago's south side is recognized as the Chicago Musical artist known as Rooga. On Oct 9, 2020, his tribute to his cousin FBG Duck went live on YouTube and it quickly reached 2.8 million views within the first thirty days. Chicago expected another song like FBG Duck x Rooga - "Exposing Me Remix" or Rooga - Blickathon both which are considered as Drill songs and both have tens of millions of video views. Instead of blaming or disrespecting his cousins possible killers, Rooga did not negatively associate anyone or any group for taking Duck's life, he didn't name a single person in his song titled "For Duck" unlike all Drill songs. Rooga is gaining a lot of respect as an artist because he's truly talented and not because he's making drill records.

Rooga's fan base began growing at a rapid pace because of his decision to still make rap music without directing his songs at anyone negatively. Financially it changed everything overnight, his music began to pay him more than it ever did before. His fans loved it, they filled his video comments with nothing but respect for his musical abilities instead of negative comments about the opposition. Rooga is a truly an inspirational artist that just might be triggering events that will lead to Chicago no longer being called Chiraq, because of the violence that infests its city streets. Rooga's success just might be what the city needs to make a change for the better, he could be the prime example for the city to start making a positive change. His change is already affecting his life positively, his respect is growing at an amazing pace along with his fan base and his bank account because he is a recording artist, not because he is a Drill Rapper.
